Sabores Milonga
We are cancelling our 3rd Friday Milonga in August. See you at the Baltimore Tango Congress where our DJ David Liu will play a short Alternative Milonga on August 15, then back here at ADI on September 19.
Sabores Milonga by Katya and Rafael joins forces with David Liu, a popular tango DJ and dancer. Come experience the electric violin interlaced with a mix of traditional favorites and new discoveries in tango music! Great music, great space, great fun. Classes by Katya before the party.
All Levels: 7:30 PM - 8:15 PM
Tango Body Techniques; 8:15 PM - 9:00 PM
Milonga starts at 9:00PM
Students will learn connection, coordination, balance and frame in the Tango Body Techniques class. The second class will cover combinations and dance flow.
$15 for one class or $25 for both, and Milonga for $10
Theater Arts Seminar
This is an educational symposium open to anyone. Workshop graduates will receive documented credits for attending TA symposiums of the Imperial Society, applicable toward a Fellowship degree, but attendees need not be pursuing their degree. If you already have an Associate degree in this subject this is opportunity to work toward the Licentiate degree. Professionals who already have a licentiate degree are encouraged to further their education by attending the seminar.
Graduates of the program will receive an honorable mention in Topline and their qualification will be documented not only with the Imperial but also with the NDCA. Graduates will also have their name added to a published list of persons who have the TA qualification.
This seminar is taught by Frank Regan, a Master and Director of the Theater Arts Branch. Frank will be assisted by celebrated World Champion, Sharon Savoy.

Noon – 1:30 PM Theory
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM Break
2:30 PM – 3:30 PM Practice and Theory
3:30 PM – 4:30 PM Multiple Choice Written Exam
In addition to the prescribed curricula, the following subjects will be addressed:
*The Science of Spatial Dynamics Applied to Ballroom and Latin Dance
*How Effective Are You as a Teacher: Not Just What You Know But How You Know It
*Higher Principles of Dance and Theater Applied to Partner Dancing at All Levels
*Focal Deflection and Movement Contextualization
